Scilly60 (September)
Scilly60 is a 60 km multi-island coastal trail race across the five inhabited Isles of Scilly. The route covers every metre of coast path on St Mary’s, St Martin’s, Tresco, Bryher, and St Agnes, finishing with a short final run back on St Mary’s. Transitions between islands use boats and runners carry a bag on the boat for spare food, drink, and clothing.
The event is self-sufficient with no energy stations en route. Competitors must start with three litres of water in their boat bag and are asked to carry what they need for each stage. Cut-offs are based on a pace of 7:30 minutes per kilometre. If a competitor misses a cut-off they will be transferred by support boat and will not continue running on the course.
Terrain varies between islands and includes continuous undulation, rocky sections, sand, sea spray, and technical coastal paths. Start and finish points are on the quays where toilets are available. Entry is strictly limited to 150 participants to protect the environment and manage the event.
