Atlantic Coast Challenge

The Atlantic Coast Challenge is a three-day coastal endurance event held Friday 2nd, Saturday 3rd and Sunday 4th October 2026. The route follows the South West Coast Path from near Padstow to Lands End, with an overall distance of up to 78.6 miles across three days.

Participants may complete one, two or three days. Daily stages are the following:

  • 42.2 km Nr Padstow to Perranporth
  • 42.2 km Perranporth to St Ives Bay Holiday Park
  • 44.3 km Lelant to Lands End

Event headquarters are at St Ives Bay Holiday Park, TR27 5BH, with catering available on site. Each starter receives an event T-shirt; finishers receive a bespoke medal and a Cornish pasty. The event supplies a GPS tracker, food and drink on course, transport between HQ and daily starts and finishes, medical cover, on-course support and mini bus pick up for retired participants. Free parking is available at the HQ.

Checkpoints are located at approximately 10 km intervals and are staffed; they provide snacks, drinks and hot drinks at selected checkpoints. Finish provisions include hot soup on days one and two and a Cornish pasty on day three.

A compulsory kit list must be carried by every participant and includes navigation, waterproofs, whistle, torch, spare water, bib number and a charged mobile phone. Trail runs nearby

A 13.1 mile way marked trail on 23 May 2026 from Portreath to Devoran across historic transport routes in Cornwall. No cut off time, canicross welcome, halfway checkpoint and a finisher medal.

A 44 mile coastal ultra from Lizard Point to Land's End along the South West Coast Path. Held on 6 June 2026 with solo and relay options, severe terrain and roughly 5,531 ft of ascent.

A multi terrain race of about 10 km from Truro to St Clement and Malpas, featuring road, trail, track, hills and mud. It is the final race in the Cornish multi terrain series and includes individual and club prizes plus a keepsake.

A crewed, self navigation team event where five runners tackle 100 mile trail and coastal routes in Cornwall with a 36 hour limit. Entry costs £110 and participants must meet qualifying and kit requirements.
