About the race
Cousin Jack is a coastal trail running event held on Saturday 6 March 2027. The event offers two multi-terrain races that follow sections of the coast path around St Just and St Ives.
- 18 miles point to point: St Just to St Ives
- 35 miles out to Cape Cornwall and back with 7000+ feet of elevation
The Classic Jack route runs between St Just and St Ives and passes muddy fields, rocky headlands, steep paths and boggy sections. The Classic starts at the St Just miners chapel and includes a safety cut off at Zennor Head. Parking in St Ives is at the Leisure Centre, where coaches transport runners to St Just.
The Ultra Jack starts from St Ives at The Blockhouse, continues out to Cape Cornwall and returns to St Ives for a total of about 35 miles and significant climb. New ARC guidelines require ultra entrants to be aged 20 or over. Parking near St Ives can be limited; the Leisure Centre provides space used for event parking.
All event entries close two weeks before the race. The organiser provides a kit list, route information and a race guide for participants. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
