Trail Running calendar near Herefordshire 2025-2026

Join the Deddington Four Farms Challenge on Sunday 17 May 2026 for 5k and 10k routes around the picturesque parish of Deddington. Open to experienced runners, fun runners and families, it is a friendly event supporting local charities.

Tackle the Peak District on 21 May 2026 at the Parks Life fell race in Belper Parks Recreation Ground. Choose the main 7 km route with 210 m climb or shorter junior races for U12 and U10, with on the day entries available.

Run the scenic Carsington Hill Race in the Peak District, a hilly 9.5 km course with 267 m of climb that rewards strength and stamina. Village atmosphere and easy online entry make it a superb spring challenge.

Run 145 miles non stop along the Grand Union Canal from Birmingham to Little Venice on a fully waymarked towpath. Limited to 100 starters with supported or unsupported entries and a 45 hour cutoff, it is a classic long distance challenge.

Enjoy a lively 6.5 km hill run on Mynydd Myfyr near Oswestry with mixed terrain and 150 m of climbing, supporting Trefonen Hill Walk Weekend. Entry on the day welcome; scenic views and prizes make it a rewarding spring challenge.

Run the Taunton Trail 10K or Half Marathon on 24 May 2026 at Taunton Rugby Football Club for an ultra flat, fast route along scenic waterways. Friendly marshals, well stocked feed stations and finisher medals make for a rewarding day.

Join the Rebellion 10km on Monday 25 May at Riverwoods, Marlow, for a scenic trail along the Thames including a crossing of Marlow Bridge. Finishers receive a medal, a Rebellion beer or non alcoholic alternative and a branded pint cup.

Take on Bluebell's Revenge, a Peak District fell race from the Bluebell Inn near Belper on Wed 27 May 2026. The 5.5 mile route climbs 315 m, is limited to 125 runners, accepts pre entry or cash on the night and finishes back at the pub.

Run the Beat the Sunset 50 km ultra in Maidenhead, a scenic single lap mostly off road along the Thames Path and Jubilee River. Expect checkpoints, live timing and a finisher medal as you chase the sunset.

Run the full 86 mile Ridgeway National Trail from Ivinghoe Beacon to the Avebury Stones, tackling rolling chalk ridges and ancient landscapes within a 28 hour cutoff. A tough but rewarding UTMB World Series index race with full support.

Celebrate Rocky at 50 with a scenic Time Challenge at Dare Valley Country Park, choosing laps to suit any distance from 3 km to an ultra. Finishers get a themed medal and goody bag, plus park views and on course refreshments.
