Stiperstones Fell Race

The Stiperstones Fell Race is scheduled for Wednesday 8 July 2026 and is based at Snailbeach. The course distance is 6.7 km with a total ascent of 375 m and is listed as category AS. Registration takes place in Snailbeach village hall (SY5 0NX) from 6pm.

The route starts in Snailbeach and climbs steadily to the top of the Stiperstones. Runners then descend the first section of Perkins Beach before crossing to Crowsnest Dingle and returning over fields to Snailbeach. The organiser describes the climb to the top as a long steady ascent followed by sections of runnable descent and field routes on the return.

Entry is possible by pre-entry for £7 or by on the evening entry for £10. Pre-entry is handled through the event entry system. Participants are asked to park sensitively, either at the football club area just before the village hall or at the village hall itself.

A 6.7 km hill race at Belmore Farm in Ratlinghope with 250 m ascent, held in memory of Adrian Donnelly to raise funds for Severn Hospice. Parking is in the bottom field and food and drinks are sold for cash.
