The half marathon is one loop; marathon entrants run the same loop twice. The route passes through National Trust land on the Shropshire Hills and The Long Mynd.

Course and logistics

The start and finish are in Carding Mill Valley near the National Trust tea rooms. The course will be fully marked and a GPX file is supplied as a backup. Runners are required to carry a rucksack with at least 500 ml of water and a basic first aid kit. There is a seven-hour cutoff for the full marathon, and runners must complete the first lap by 12:30 PM to be allowed a second lap. Aid stations are provided on the course and marshals will be on duty. Entry fees listed on the event page include:

  • 10 km: £28.00 - £30.00
