The Piece of Cake Trail Run - Carding Mill Valley

The event offers three waymarked trail distances through the Shropshire Hills and The Long Mynd, with start and finish at Carding Mill Valley near the National Trust tea rooms. The route passes National Trust land and features rugged countryside.

The course will be fully marked and a GPX file is supplied as a backup. Runners are required to carry a rucksack containing at least 500 ml of water and a basic first aid kit. There is a seven-hour cutoff for the full marathon; completing the first lap within the event's lap cutoff is required to continue on a second lap.

The venue is close to the town of Church Stretton, with a train station within about one mile of the start. Entry price includes a medal and access to well stocked aid stations on course; marshals will be present. A cake competition will be held alongside the races.
