July the Turd is a running event organised by How Hard Can It Be Events on 4 July 2026. It takes place around the valley of Ironbridge in Shropshire with the start and finish at The Unicorn Inn in Little Dawley TF4 3HZ.

Distances offered:

  • Marathon - three laps for the full marathon.
  • 16 Miles - two laps, described as a half (ish) marathon.
  • 8 Miles - a shorter option on a different course.

The route uses a mixture of tracks, paths and road. Road running shoes are sufficient for the course. Parking is available on site. The event notes that this is not the Railway Line course.

Entry fees are listed between £28 and £40 depending on distance. Age limits apply: the marathon and 16 mile entries are open to those aged 18 and over on the event date, while the 8 mile event is open to those aged 16 and over. All finishers receive event bling.
