Lone Wolf Birmingham 2026

Lone Wolf Birmingham is an endurance event held at Wyre Forest near Bewdley. The event follows a backyard-style format where participants complete a specific loop every hour on the hour. The competition continues until only one runner remains or until a total of 24 hours has elapsed.

The course is a 6.7 km loop featuring undulating forest tracks and single-track terrain. To remain in the event, runners must finish each lap within 60 minutes. Any time remaining before the next hour starts can be used for resting or refueling. The final lap serves as a race to the finish to determine the overall winner. Participants can choose their own distance goal, ranging from a single lap to distances equivalent to a 10k, half marathon, marathon, or ultra marathon.

The event base is located at the Wyre Forest Cafe and includes several facilities for participants:

  • A large indoor room for changing, resting, and eating
  • Access to a kettle, small fridge, and microwave
  • Toilets and water points
  • A first aid station
  • Onsite paid parking available 24 hours

Participants are encouraged to bring their own supplies, such as camping chairs, head torches, food, and camp beds for nighttime rest. Small gazebos or tents may be set up near the start and finish line. The event is open to individuals aged 18 and over. Well-behaved dogs on leads are permitted to run with participants. All runners receive a wooden medal, while the final male and female victors receive handmade wooden trophies. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
