The Hillfort Hustle is a trail running event organised by Croft Ambrey Running Club on 19 July 2026 in Aymestrey, Herefordshire (postcode HR6 9ST). Distances offered are:

Course and facilities
Both routes use country lanes, tracks and trails and include a climb to the Iron Age hillfort at Croft Ambrey. The 5 mile route has about 1,000 feet of climb and the 10 mile route about 1,800 feet. The courses are fully marked and marshalled, with tail-runners on both routes. The event is cup-free. Water stations are provided: one at 2.5 miles on the 5 mile course; at 2.5 miles and 7.5 miles on the 10 mile course. Start and finish are opposite The Riverside Inn in Aymestrey and there is nearby parking; participants should follow instructions from parking marshals. Toilets are available at the start and finish but there are no changing facilities.
Entries, fees and junior race
Registration opens on race day at 8:30am; latest number pick-up times and on-the-day entry cut-offs are stated by the organiser. Standard entry prices (until 16 July) are £20 for the 10 mile and £16 for the 5 mile; discounted rates apply for members of England Athletics. On-the-day entry fees are listed as cash only.
