Black Mountains 50, 32 Mile Ultra, Marathon and Half Marathon

The event takes place on Saturday 11th July 2026 in the Black Mountains, within the Brecon Beacons National Park. Race headquarters is at Longtown Hall, HR2 0LD, with a listed finish at Perth Y Pia, Llanbedr. Routes are self navigated and participants will be tracked; GPX files and an emergency route map are available.

  • 32 Miles / 50 km - elevation 6,663 ft
  • Marathon 27 Miles / 43.4 km - elevation 5,505 ft
  • Half Marathon 13 Miles / 21 km - elevation 2,738 ft

On-course support includes checkpoints, water stations, food at finish for all distances and hot food at the mid-way point for the 50 mile race. Services listed include chip timing, trackers, back runners, a full mobile medical unit, on-site physio, taping and first aid. Organisers state cut off arrangements with a 24 hour event cut off and a 12 hour cut off at the 26 mile point, and reserve the right to make safety calls on the day.

A full mandatory kit list is enforced and subject to checks; required items include waterproof jacket and trousers, 2 litre fluid capacity, head torch and whistle, map or GPX file, first aid kit and a reusable cup.
