The Black Mountains event takes place on Saturday 11 July 2026 with HQ at Longtown Hall / Longtown Village Hall, Longtown, Herefordshire (HR2 0LD). The finish location is Perth Y Pia, Llanbedr. All distances are self-navigation, with participants tracked throughout and provided with GPX files and an emergency route map. The course surface is approximately 90% trail and 10% road (lanes). A 24-hour overall cut-off applies for the event.

There is a drop-bag zone for the 50-mile race and local camping options near HQ. Entry fees listed are: Half £55, Marathon £70, 32M £85, 50M £100. A mandatory kit list is enforced and will be checked at registration; required items include waterproof jacket and trousers, race vest/pack, base layer, capacity to carry fluid, map or GPX file, charged mobile phone and power bank, suitable trail footwear, first aid items, foil blanket, reusable cup, head torch and whistle.
