Beast of the Beacons is a multi-distance trail running challenge set in the Brecon Beacons National Park in Wales. Runners tackle 10, 20 or 40 miles, starting from Llangynidr Village Hall and weaving through forests, mountains, reservoirs and rugged trails with dramatic views and wildlife such as red kites. The course features harsh climbs, rocky paths, mud and river crossings, with the 40‑mile route being a second, reverse lap. The event is marked and marshalled, canicross-friendly (with age and rules), and offers three full refuel zones, camping, medical support, and a bespoke Welsh slate trophy for podiums.
