Malvern Hills 18 miler

This is a guided trail run across the Malvern Hills meeting at North Quarry Car Park in Great Malvern, Worcestershire on Saturday 17 April 2027. The route covers a distance of 18 miles and the stated cost is £39 per person. Parking is available and the meeting point is a short run or taxi ride from a nearby train station.

The route climbs from the northern side onto the Malverns ridge, visits the summits along the ridge, and then returns using lesser known trails on the hillsides and in adjacent woodlands. The course includes over 1300 m (about 4400 ft) of total ascent and offers long periods on uneven trail terrain.

The run is led by an experienced trail and ultra runner who is a mountain leader, qualified guide, and coach. It is not a race; participants move as a group, steeper sections are often walked and the group regroups regularly. Runners should be comfortable maintaining an average pace of around 10 minutes per mile (6:15 min/km) on trails for prolonged periods to enjoy the event.

A full kit list will be provided before the run and further practical information will be shared with participants in advance. An alcohol free beer from Athletic Brewing Company may be available at the finish subject to availability. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
