Malvern Hills 18 miler

This is a guided trail run of 18 miles on Saturday 17 April 2027, meeting at North Quarry Car Park, Great Malvern, Worcestershire. The route climbs Worcestershire Hill and follows the Malverns ridge from north to south, visiting the summits along the ridge. After the ridge run the group returns using lesser known trails on the hillsides and in nearby woodlands, providing a different perspective of the landscape.

The route includes over 1300 m (4400 ft) of ascent. The run is led by an experienced trail and ultra runner who is also a mountain leader, qualified guide, and coach. This is not a race; participants run together at a social group pace. Runners should be able to comfortably sustain an average pace of 10 min/miles or 6 min/km on trails for prolonged periods and have a suitable level of fitness.

Practical details from the organiser: the cost is £39 per person, a full kit list will be provided, parking is available at North Malvern, and the meeting point is a short run or taxi ride from a train station. An alcohol free beer from Athletic Brewing Company may be offered at the end of the run, subject to availability. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
