Malvern Hills 18 miler

This is a guided trail run of approximately 18 miles across the Malvern Hills and surrounding trails. Participants meet at North Quarry Car Park, Great Malvern, Worcestershire. The route includes an ascent to Worcestershire Hill and a run along the Malverns ridge, visiting the summits along the ridge before returning via lesser known trails on the hillsides and through woodlands to provide a different perspective of the landscape.

The route accumulates over 1300 m (4400 ft) of elevation. The event is run at a social pace rather than as a race; the group often hikes steeper sections and regroups regularly. Participants should be comfortable maintaining an average trail pace around 10 minutes per mile (6:15 min/km) for prolonged periods to enjoy the session. Faster runners should expect some sections to be run at an easier, more social pace.

A full kit list will be provided to participants. There is car parking available at the meeting location, and the area is a short run or taxi ride from a train station. The fee for the event is £39 per person. An alcohol-free beer may be offered at the end of the run, subject to availability. Further logistical details and instructions are supplied to participants before the event. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
