Ross On Wye Riverbank Run

The Ross Riverbank Festival of running takes place on a multi-terrain course that follows the banks of the River Wye. The event features chip-timed races on a flat route consisting of grass and mud surfaces depending on weather conditions. Race Headquarters is located at the Rowing Club in Ross-on-Wye.

Participants can choose from several event distances:

  • 10 km
  • 5 km
  • 500 m Fun Run

The 10 km and 5 km races are chip-timed and have a participant limit of 300 runners each. Minimum age requirements are 15 years for the 10 km and 11 years for the 5 km. The Fun Run is approximately 500 m long, is not chip-timed, and requires children under 11 to be accompanied by an adult. Both the 5 km and 10 km distances include Canicross categories for those running with dogs using appropriate harnesses.

The course includes a water station that runners pass during both the 5 km and 10 km events, with additional water available at the finish. All finishers in every category receive a medal. First aid and medical cover are present on-site. Facilities at the Rowing Club include toilets, though no bag drop service is provided. Limited parking is available at the Rowing Club via a one-way system, with additional parking located throughout the town. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
