Ross on Wye Riverbank Run 2026

This event takes place on 6 September 2026 at the Rowing Club, Ross-on-Wye HR9 7DF. The programme includes chip timed races and a short family fun run, with Race HQ adjacent to the start line at the rowing club.

Distances included:

  • 10 km: chip timed, race limit 300, minimum age 15 on the day.
  • 5 km: chip timed, race limit 300, minimum age 11 on the day.
  • Fun Run: approximately 500 m, not chip timed, under 11s must be accompanied by an adult.

There are canicross options for both the 5 km and 10 km; these start 15 minutes after the corresponding race. Dog participants must make themselves known at bib collection and run using a canicross harness. Strictly no dogs are allowed in the mass starts for either event.

All entrants must register in advance; on-the-day entries are not permitted. There is no bag drop; personal belongings are left at the owner’s risk. Full medical cover will be in place. Toilets are available on site and some parking is provided at the Rowing Club under a one-way system; additional parking is available around the town within a short walk of the start line.

Routes are classed as multi-terrain and use parts of the river path, so competitors should expect grass and possible mud depending on weather. The event holds a UK Athletics licence. Every finisher receives a medal. Prizes are awarded for top finishers and age categories. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
