Rabbit Run Wales

Rabbit Run Wales offers a set of trail races held on the private grounds of the Merthyr Mawr Estate on the South Wales coast. The event uses terrain within the Merthyr Mawr Warren National Nature Reserve, an area noted for wildlife and extensive sand dune systems.

The shortest course, a 12K, follows trails that include hills, valleys and a river crossing, and includes a run down the Big Dipper, the highest sand dune in Wales. Longer distances expand on the same inland dune and woodland sections and add coastal running along the Glamorgan Heritage Coast.

Races that extend beyond the 12K route include sections along the Glamorgan Heritage Coast with plunging cliffs, secluded coves and expansive coastal views. Courses combine sandy dunes, varied trail surfaces and coastal paths.

The event is delivered in partnership by the Merthyr Mawr Estate and Run 4 Wales (R4W).
