Hazelbury Hurrah! Running Event

The Hazelbury Hurrah! is an evening multi-terrain running event organized by Corsham Running Club. The 2026 edition is the eighth running of the event and will take place on Friday, July 10. Entries open at the end of April 2026.

The event raises funds for local good causes, including Corsham Churches Foodbank, SSAFA, Doorway, Cotswold Voluntary Wardens, and Corsham Running Club.

Race Details

There are two races: a main race and a junior race. Both are Trail Running Association licensed and UK Athletics insured. The location for both is Leafy Lane Playing Fields in Corsham.

Main Race

  • Distance: Approximately 6 miles.
  • Route: A varied multi-terrain course taking in woods and fields around Hazelbury Manor and Box, including some road sections. It is described as occasionally hilly, muddy, and technical.
  • Start time: 7:15 PM.
  • Age requirement: 16+.
  • Entry limit: 250 places.
  • Prizes are awarded for the first three female and male finishers, plus age category winners (V40, V50, V60, V70). A team prize is also available.
  • All finishers receive a pie and a beer (or a non-alcoholic/vegan alternative).

  • Distance: Approximately 2 km.
  • Route: A flat, off-road, two-lap course around the sports field and adjacent woods at Leafy Lane. A short section passes near a natural burial ground.
  • Start time: 6:30 PM.
  • Age requirement: Runners must be aged 8 to 18 as of August 31, 2026.
  • Entry limit: 125 places.
  • Runners must run unaccompanied; the event provides marshalling for safety.
  • All finishers receive a medal, a drink, and a snack. Prizes are awarded for the first female and male in several age categories.
