Plain Crazy (Winter) 12.5 ish miles

Plain Crazy Winter is a roughly 12.5 mile run held on 31 December 2026. The route has been described as hilly, cold, scenic, desolate, windy and it can even be snowy. The event supports The Royal British Legion Poppy Appeal.

Prizes are awarded for 1st, 2nd and 3rd male and female finishers, with additional male and female veteran categories V40, V50, V60 and V70. All finishers receive a bespoke medal.

Facilities include toilets, refreshments available to purchase, three water stations, and first aid cover. The event is fully insured. Parking is available at Imber Avenue, Warminster BA12 0DD. The race start and finish are at Pepper Place, Warminster BA12 0DW. There will be a short safety briefing before the race and marshals will give instructions during the event.

Plain Crazy is open to runners aged 16 years or older on the day. No dogs are permitted. Due to potential winter conditions there is a three hour cut off time. Places are limited and entries may close earlier if the limit is reached; there will be no entries on the day. A GPX route file is provided and race numbers must be secured to the front of the runner's top and clearly visible at the finish.

Entry fees are listed as £28 for affiliated runners and £30 for unattached runners. A service fee of 4 percent (minimum 50p) applies to each sign-up.
