Minninglow March

The Minninglow March is a circular route starting and finishing in the village of Parwich, a few miles north of Ashbourne in the Derbyshire Dales. The event is organised by Ultra Quest and takes place on 12 July 2026.

The route is approximately 17 miles long with around 2,000 ft of elevation. This is a self navigation event using public rights of way, well used trails and open access land. Participants must be confident using a GPX navigation system on a watch or phone or a physical map and compass. Mandatory kit must be carried by all participants.

The event includes a collect and deliver element called The Quest. Competitors visit two points of interest on the route, collect a card at each and deliver them to the finish line in Parwich. Spot prizes will be awarded for notable combinations of cards.

There are three aid stations offering light refreshments including water, sweets, crisps and REAL COCA COLA. Their approximate locations are at 3.5 miles on the High Peak Trail, 9.4 miles before the descent into Carsington Village, and 14 miles in Bradbourne by the church.

Runners and fast walkers are eligible. The overall time limit for the course is six hours, and participants should be able to maintain roughly three miles per hour over varied trail terrain and hills. Minimum age is 18. Dogs are not permitted. Entry fees are listed as £35 for affiliated and £37 for non affiliated entries. Results will be published within 24 hours and a GPX of the route is provided to entrants.
