Route and Format

The Minninglow March is a self-navigation event on Sunday 12th July 2026. It follows an approximately 17-mile circular route with around 2,000 ft of elevation. The route starts and finishes in the village of Parwich, north of Ashbourne in the Derbyshire Dales. It uses a mix of public rights of way, trails, and open access land. Participants must be confident navigating using a GPX device or a map and compass.

The Quest and Support

During the event, participants collect a card from two designated points of interest and deliver them to the finish line. Spot prizes are awarded for the funniest card combinations. There are three aid stations on the route at approximately 3.5 miles, 9.4 miles, and 14 miles, offering sweet and savoury snacks, light refreshments, and Coca-Cola.

Participation and Entry

The event welcomes runners and fast walkers. The overall time limit is 6 hours. Entry requires a participant to be aged 18 or older. Entry fees apply for affiliated and non-affiliated entrants. Included with entry are event parking close to the start, an embroidered finisher's patch, a goody bag, a route GPX file, free event photos, published results, and a discount for The Derby Runner.
