Holt Heath, United Kingdom • 11 Jul 2026

Event Details

The MTC Severn Way Ultra is a point-to-point ultramarathon covering approximately 57 miles. The route follows the River Severn, described as a comparatively flat course.

The race starts at the Travelodge in Worcester (WR1 2QS) and finishes at the Travelodge in Stonehouse (GL10 3SQ). The course passes through several towns and villages including Grimley, Upton-on-Severn, Tewkesbury, Gloucester, Epney, Priding, and Frampton-on-Severn.

Race Information

The event has four checkpoint stations along the route. Competitors can request vegan or gluten-free food at checkpoints during registration. All events are cup-free, so runners must bring their own reusable cup.

All finishers receive a bespoke Severn Way Ultra medal and an MTC head visor. The first male and female finishers each receive a bespoke Severn Way Ultra trophy.

Rules and Logistics

Runners must be 20 years or older on the race day. Competitors are responsible for their own transportation to the start and from the finish. The Worcester Travelodge start has no on-site parking, but parking options exist within a five-minute walk, and the train station is nearby.

A mandatory minimum pace of 4 mph is enforced with checkpoint cut-off times. Participants must carry a mandatory kit list including a backpack, head torch, map or GPS device, compass, whistle, mobile phone, emergency food, and a basic first aid kit. Random bag checks occur at registration.

Entry fees are non-refundable. A personal cancellation insurance policy is available at booking. Otherwise, entries can be deferred to the following year for a fee up to four weeks before the event. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
