The Maverick Chilterns Trail 2026
The Maverick Chilterns Trail takes place at Princes Risborough School in Buckinghamshire and uses trails across the Chiltern Hills Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. The route network runs through ancient beech woodlands, chalk downs, sweeping ridgelines, hidden valleys and sections of the Ridgeway and Chiltern Way.
Routes vary in length and elevation and include a mix of fast trail, chalky surfaces, punchy climbs and technical woodland singletrack. Some routes have fuel and hydration outposts; the Short and Middle routes do not have outposts. Outposts offer sweet and savoury snacks, gels and electrolyte drinks and the event aims to operate cup-free at outposts so participants should bring a reusable cup or bottle.
Facilities at the venue include free parking, a fully marked and timed course, online results, event photography, a bag drop area and food and drink options. Dogs are not allowed at the venue because it is a school.
