PHOENIX Fridays Run for a Tenner Friday

PHOENIX Fridays are a series of timed runs held by Phoenix Running. This Run for a Tenner edition is a charity event linked to the Rays of Sunshine Children’s Charity and includes a bespoke finishers medal for participants.

The format uses a 5.3 km, 3.28 mile out and back course along the river Thames on an off road riverside towpath. The overall course is flat with no elevation gain or loss. Participants choose how many laps to complete within the event time limit; the minimum distance is one lap, 3.28 miles, or as far as a runner can go in seven hours.

Entry for the Run for a Tenner is £10 with the full tenner donated to Rays of Sunshine Children’s Charity. Fees listed also show an unaffiliated category at £12. The Run for a Tenner charity runs include a double sided Rays of Sunshine medal and a bespoke finishers memento for all participants.

A 7 hour lap-based time challenge along the River Thames at Wraysbury with flexible self-paced distances from 3 km up to 50 km, signed course, aid stations, medals, goody bags including vegan options, and distance pins for longer efforts.

A 100 mile continuous Thames Path race from Richmond to Oxford, mostly on groomed trails and riverside paths. The route gains about 1 900 ft, includes aid stations and mandatory kit checks, and must be completed within 30 hours.
