Chiltern Ridge Half Marathon
The Chiltern Ridge Half Marathon is a trail running event located in Buckinghamshire. The route covers a distance of 21.1 km with a total elevation gain of 526 meters. Centered around the town of Wendover, the course follows a stretch of The Ridgeway National Trail between Coombe Hill and Whiteleaf Hill near Princes Risborough.
The race takes place entirely off-road. Participants navigate a path toward the Whiteleaf Hill Nature Reserve, where they complete an undulating forest loop before returning. The course is fully marked for navigation. Two aid stations are positioned along the route, both located at The Plough at Cadsden at the 6.7 km and 13.4 km marks. These stations provide hydration and nutrition products, and toilet facilities are available at these locations.
The event is limited to 350 runners and has a maximum time limit of 4 hours. It is licensed by the Trail Running Association and held under UKA rules. The minimum age for entry is 17 years old, and dogs are not permitted on the course. Parking for the event is available at Wendover Train Station.
