Swan Challenge : Coombe Abbey Park
The Swan Challenge is a six hour lap-based trail event held at Coombe Abbey Park, CV3 2AB. Participants complete as many 3.3 mile laps as they wish within the time limit. Entrants may run, hike or walk; the format allows short or very long efforts on the same course.
The route uses mostly stone pathways and includes a meadow section across open grassland. Depending on recent weather the meadow can be muddy. The organiser describes the course as relatively flat with extensive tree cover. A GPX file is available, and the route may be marked on the day.
Onsite facilities include a cafe and a toilet block next to the event headquarters. Parking is available on site and costs up to £5 depending on how long visitors stay. The park is on the outskirts of Coventry and is close to Junction 2 of the M6; the nearest train station is Coventry.
Entry fees follow a tiered pricing structure: £37 before 10/06/2026 and £42 after that date, with an extra £2 for unaffiliated entrants. There is no booking fee. Participants can choose a traditional medal or a Big Bear Tree Token that results in a tree being planted and includes wildflower seeds. Dogs are not permitted and rucking is allowed.
