Coombe Abbey Park (CV3 2AB), on the outskirts of Coventry, hosts a six-hour trail event on a multi-lap course. The route is based mainly on stone pathways with a meadow section across open grassland; that meadow can be muddy depending on recent weather. The course passes through mature woodland and runs with the abbey as a backdrop. Entrants complete repeated laps of a measured 3.3-mile circuit and may stop after a single lap or continue for as many laps as they can within the six-hour time limit.
Example distances: - 3.3-mile lap (about 5 km) - Half marathon equals 4 laps - Marathon equals 8 laps - Completing 15+ laps can result in over 50 miles The venue provides parking (charges apply, up to £5 depending on length of stay), and a cafe and toilet block are located next to the event headquarters. The park is managed by the local council and is approximately six minutes from Junction 2 of the M6; the nearest train station is Coventry. Event administration uses tiered entry fees: before 10/06/2026 the fee is £37, after that date it is £42; unaffiliated entrants pay an extra £2. A route GPX is available.
Dogs are not permitted and rucking is allowed. Participants receive a medal or may choose a tree token option that supports tree planting and includes wildflower seeds. The event has run previously and supports an optional charity donation to Roald Dahl’s Marvellous Children’s Charity. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
