Swan Challenge

Coventry, United Kingdom • 10 Jul 2026

Event overview

The Swan Challenge is scheduled for July 10, 2026, at Coombe Abbey Park, Coventry, CV3 2AB. The event uses a six-hour format in which participants complete as many laps of the course as they wish within a six-hour time limit. The standard lap measures 3.3 miles; eight laps equal a marathon distance and four laps equal a half marathon. The event has been run previously and past results are recorded.

Course, logistics and services

The route is mostly on stone pathways with a meadow section on open grassland that may become muddy depending on recent weather. The park offers tree cover and generally flat terrain. The venue is managed by Coventry City Council. Parking on site costs up to £5 depending on stay length, and there is a cafe and a toilet block next to the event HQ. A GPX file of the route is available, though the course may be subject to last-minute changes and will be waymarked on the day.

Additional notes: dogs are not allowed; rucking is permitted; entry fees are tiered (£37 before 10/06/2026, £42 after; unaffiliated entrants pay £2 extra). There is a charity partnership with Roald Dahl’s Marvellous Children’s Charity, and options exist to donate with 100% of such donations going to the charity. Medals or a tree token option are provided. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
