The Wild One: Multi Lap Marathon

The Wild One is a fund-raising multi lap running event on 12 July 2026 at Old Elizabethans Cricket Club, Worcester. Proceeds support the Worcester Acute Stroke Ward and the Community Stroke team.

The course is 2.62 miles per lap and uses a mix of grass, wooded trails and tarmac. Race formats include:

  • Solo marathon Ten laps for the full marathon distance
  • Solo half marathon Five laps in total
  • Pairs relay Ten laps between the two runners
  • Teams of five relay Ten laps shared between team members
  • Kids Wild Mile One mile fun run

All finishers receive a bespoke medal and goody bag. Prizes are awarded for fastest marathon times, best fancy dress and fastest lap. This year’s fancy dress theme is Wild Animals; participation is optional. Entry for adult events is £16 per person for affiliated runners and £18 unaffiliated. The Wild Mile entry is £3.50 and can be entered online or on the day. There are no online booking charges. Race entry is limited to 200 and entries close when that limit is reached. Numbers are issued on the day; nothing is sent by post.

On-site parking is available. A bar and an ice cream van will be present and picnics are welcome. Solo finish times will be recorded on Power of 10 and Run Britain Rankings; relay events are not compatible with those sites. Full results are published after the event. Pretty Muddy Cheltenham is a 5 kilometre obstacle event at Cheltenham Racecourse combining mud obstacles with grass, woodchip and path surfaces. The event includes on-site parking, basic facilities and accessibility support.
