A 100 mile self navigated ultramarathon across the Brecon Beacons with 6143 m of ascent, 10 checkpoints, live GPS tracking and mandatory mountain navigation skills. Entrants must meet qualifying criteria and carry specified safety kit.

A multi-distance trail ultramarathon in the Brecon Beacons near Abergavenny on 25 to 26 July 2026. Events range from 12 km to 110 km, include UTMB Index categories, camping and on-course medical support.

A Britney themed 7 hour Time Challenge at Dare Valley Country Park offering distances from 3 km up to ultra and 50 km. Aid tables, medals and goody bags are provided, with free parking, toilets and a cafe on site.

A basecamp event at Dunster on 25 July 2026 offering a 50 km loop with about 1600 m of climb plus 25 km and 10 km options, all supported with marquee rest stops, GPS tracking, catering, medical cover and camping.

A 9.3 km fell race near Cwm, Ebbw Vale with 549 m of climb on moorland and a partly waymarked anticlockwise loop. Basic navigation and mountain skills are useful; the event is part of the South Wales Series.

August 2026

A *50 miles* loop around the Epynt Way on August 1st 2026, starting and finishing at Noyadd Farm Camping near Builth Wells. Mostly trail terrain with 8,559 ft of elevation, four staffed checkpoints and no formal time limit.

Discover the Rose Run with Phoenix Running South Wales at Parc Taf Bargoed, a scenic multi terrain out and back with a repeatable 5.3 km lap to build distances from 5 km to ultra. Rock up and run with staggered starts and limited spots.

A new 2026 trail running event along the Pembrokeshire Coast from Freshwater East to Saundersfoot, offering 25k and 14k routes with GPX files and a payment plan for entries.

A fell race from Llanthony Show Ground with a senior course of 6.3 km and 350 m ascent, plus a programme of junior races. The route leaves the show field, climbs through farmland and bracken, joins Offa's Dyke path, and returns via a steep..

A family friendly trail event at Porth Farm on 2 August 2026 with 1 mile and 5 km races, modest entry fees, and entries available online.

Trail races of 24K and 51K start from Talybont-on-Usk on 8 August 2026, with marked routes, marshals and stocked aid stations. Entries include a themed medal, chip timing and free race photos.

A pancake-flat *10 km* out and back along the Brecon and Monmouthshire canal between Gilwern and Llangattock, set in the Brecon Beacons National Park. Finishers receive a medal, there is a drink station at 5 km, and entries are online only.

SkyRun Eryri in Rhyd-Ddu, Eryri/Snowdonia stages four mountain races from 16 km to 55 km on 15 August 2026, with large elevation gains, aid stations and a mix of ridgelines, scrambling and technical trails.

A multi-distance community running event in Tywyn on 15 August 2026, organised by the Rotary Club of Tywyn. Distances range from a toddlers run to a 14 mile challenge and entries close 10 August 2026.

Mynydd Maen Traverse is a running event near Pontypool featuring a 9.8 km route with 291 m of climb. It includes separate junior races and accepts team entries of three.

A 7.5 km fell race at Cwrt-y-Cadno Show fields with 264 m of climb. Entry to the show covers the £5 fee; the course is partially marked and open to those over 16.

A 7 hour time challenge at Dare Valley Country Park where runners pick their distance from a 3km minimum. The event features a cupcake magnet medal, a baking competition, aid tables with vegan options, and free parking.

A children's fun run organised by Afan Valley Swimming Club on 23 August, covering approximately 1 mile of mixed grass and tarmac with uphill and downhill sections. Entry includes a finishers' medal and a bag of sweets.

A 10 mile trail race through Radnor forest in Mid Wales on 23 August 2026, held in aid of the Special Care Baby Unit in Hereford. The route reaches Black Mixen at 2130 ft and includes forestry roads, moorland and tree covered single track.
