About the Event
This event is named "Ooops I Ran It Again - Wales" and has a Britney Spears-inspired theme. Participants are welcome to dress up in themed outfits.
Distances & Format
The event is a 7-hour time challenge where participants can run for the full duration. The minimum distance is 3 km. Participants run laps; a full lap is 4.37 miles (7 km), though this may be changed to a 3.28-mile loop. Distances are achieved by completing laps:
- 3 laps for a half marathon.
- 6 laps for a marathon.
- 7 or more laps for an ultra marathon. A 50 km distance is also available. There are 3 km and 5 km turn points within the lap for younger runners.
Multiple entry options are listed: 3 km, 5 km, 10 km, Half Marathon, Marathon, 50 km, Ultra Marathon, and Time Challenge. Entry is open with various age restrictions.
Course
The course takes place in Dare Valley Country Park in Aberdare. It uses well-maintained paths and footpaths, offering views of the surrounding countryside. The route is suitable for road trainers.
Medals, Pins & Goody Bags
All finishers who complete at least 3 km receive a themed medal. Distance pins for half marathon, mega-half, marathon, 50 km, and ultra marathon are available for those who achieve those distances. Every finisher receives a goody bag, with a standard and a vegan option available.
On-Site Facilities
An aid table with drinks and snacks (including vegan options) is located at the start/finish of each lap. Ice cream is available for all finishers. The venue has toilets and a cafe. Free parking is available. There is a non-secure bag drop area.
Event Management
The event is organized by Saturn Too Limited, a franchise partner of Saturn Running. Final instructions are sent by email before the event. Race number pick-up is on the day at registration.
