An 11 km hill race near Monymusk on 26 September 2026 with 430 m of climb and pre-entry only registration; listed 2024 fees are shown and parking is at Monymusk Village Hall.

October 2026

A 50k mostly off-road ultramarathon on Bennachie with over 5000 ft of ascent, visiting multiple peaks and starting and finishing at the Bennachie Visitor Centre. Pre-entry only with 150 places and a 4 hour cut-off at about 19 miles.

A point to point trail of about 10 km from Archiestown Village Square to Cardhu Distillery on 11 October 2026, with shuttle transport, water stations, first aid and prizes for overall and veteran categories.

A Speyside running event offering marathon, half-marathon, 10 km and a four person relay along the Speyside Way, with distilleries on the route and whisky miniatures available at the finish.

November 2026

A 50 km trail race on 7 November 2026 following the Dava Way from Grantown-on-Spey to Forres, mostly on the old Highland Railway line. Mixed woodland and moorland terrain, Dava Summit climbs, 300 entries and an 8 hour cutoff.

An eight hour loop challenge at Culbin Forest where runners repeat 4.366 mile trail laps tracked by wristband timing; lap totals equate to half, full or ultra marathon distances.

A solo 69 km trail run from Glamis Castle to Scone Palace with a marked route, checkpoints, GPS tracking and chip timing. Finishers receive a medal and meal voucher; entries for 2026 are open.

December 2026

A festive trail running event within the private grounds of Glamis Castle in Angus. Distances include a family 1 mile plus 5 mile and 10 mile runs, with Canicross allowed except in the family mile.

January 2027

A trail running festival on 3 January 2027 through Glenmore Forest finishing at Loch Morlich beach, offering 5.6 km and 11.2 km races with chip timing, finisher medals, home baking and prizes; dogs are allowed on leads.

March 2027

The Newburgh Beach Bash 10K will take place in Newburgh on Saturday 20 March 2027. You can run 10 kilometers.

May 2027

A two-day trail event around Loch Ness with seven race distances from 16 km to 100 miles, fully marked courses, regular aid stations and medical support. Camping and tracking are included for the longer races.

Two coastal trail races along the Moray coastline offering a 50 mile ultra and a 50 km route that pass Findhorn, Lossiemouth, Spey Bay and finish in Cullen, with pre-race buses from Cullen to the start points.

Time-limited ultramarathon on the Formartine and Buchan railway between Maud and Auchnagatt with 12 hour and 6 hour options. Competitors aim to cover as much distance as possible and must reach at least 26.3 miles for a medal.

A mud and obstacle run in Aberdeen on 16 May 2027 offering 5 km and 10 km options for adults and supervised teenagers. Entries include a tech T-shirt and finisher's medal, with free parking and event photos.

August 2027

A fully supported, waymarked 100 mile ultramarathon from Glamis Castle to Stirling Castle held 28–30 August 2027, with staffed pit stops, professional medical cover, bag transport and a 48 hour completion window.

June 2028

A one-day ultramarathon of 39 miles from Kingussie to Inverness and listed as Day 6 of the MTC SCOTIA series. Field size is limited and the race enforces a minimum 4 miles per hour average; it is cup free.
