Formartine & Buchan Railway 12&6hr Ultra is an offbeat ultramarathon staged along the Formartine & Buchan railway line, starting at Maud Railway Station and finishing at Auchnagatt Village Hall. The event offers 12-hour and 6-hour courses. The Maud-to-Auchnagatt stretch is around 4.3 miles, and runners aim to cover as much distance as possible within the time limit, with a minimum target distance set for medals and goodies.
