Sidlaw Ultra

The Sidlaw Ultra is a solo trail run of approximately 69 km between Glamis Castle and Scone Palace. The route follows marked trails and includes hilltop sections with views. The event is open to all genders and offers an optional early start.

The event provides chip timing, GPS tracking, live online results and marked and marshalled route sections. Water is available at checkpoints, drop-off bags are conveyed to checkpoints, and a medic team is present. All finishers receive a medal and a meal voucher to use at the finish where a food truck has provided hot meals in previous years. Prize places are awarded for 1st Male, 1st Female and 1st Non-Binary in the 69 km race.

Included in the entry are online entry and insurance, bus transport to the start, and chip timing. Runners will be issued a GPS tracker which must be carried. Compulsory kit includes a head torch, whistle, mobile phone, emergency blanket and emergency food and drink; runners are asked to write emergency contact information on their bib. Waterproofs, a map, a first aid kit and spare clothes are recommended, and there are wet sections on parts of the course.

Entries for 2026 are open. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
