Sidlaw Ultra

The Sidlaw Ultra is a solo trail event of approximately 69 km that runs from Glamis Castle to Scone Palace. The route follows trails and high tops with marked lines and GPS tracking. The 2026 edition is scheduled for 28 November 2026 and is the fourth running in the series.

The event provides water at checkpoints, chip timing, live online results, and a medic team. Drop-off bags are conveyed to checkpoints and all runners receive a medal and a meal voucher to use at the finish where a food truck from Oaklies will provide hot meals. Spot prizes are awarded by marshals using tokens given to runners.

The entry fee includes online entry, insurance, GPS tracker issued to all runners, bus transport to the start, and marshalled and marked course management. Prizes are listed for 1st Male, Female and NB on the 69 km race.

The organiser, Wee Run Events, runs the Sidlaw Ultra and supplies services such as chip timing and event consultancy. An optional early start is available for runners who prefer it. The event is presented as inclusive and welcomes runners who register as M, F or NB; it is also described as LGBTQIA+ friendly. Spectators may park at Glamis Castle but are asked to keep noise to a minimum because the castle is residential. The finish area includes a cafe which closes in the afternoon.
