Rat Race 100 Glamis (28–30 August 2027)

The Rat Race 100 Glamis is a 100 mile (160 km) run/trek held over a 48 hour window. The route runs from Glamis Castle towards Stirling Castle as the final part of a three-event trilogy. Registration and tracker collection take place in Dundee on the Friday before the event; bag drop opens at Glamis Castle on the event morning.

The course is fully waymarked with bright orange arrows and is fully supported by event logistics and staffed pit stops. The organiser sets a walker-friendly completion pace guideline of 2.5 mph and provides multiple pit stops offering water, juice, sweet and salty snacks, fruit, toilets and medical support. Enhanced pit stops include hot food options. There are cut-offs after Pit Stop 6 (around 60 miles) designed for the 2.5 mph moving pace. The route may be changed for safety or operational reasons.

Medical cover is provided by a professional event medic partner with paramedics and doctors in vehicles and a private ambulance. Participants must be over 18 on the day of registration and carry mandatory kit; spot checks are made and non-compliant participants may be unable to continue.

The event moves up to five participant bags between specific pit stops and allows an increased allowance for a single chosen sleep station at Pit Stop 6, 7 or 8. The trilogy format awards a finisher buckle after completing all three 100 mile events. Payment can be made in instalments and the listed total price for 2027 is £339.
