Bertha Park Trail Run

Bertha Park Trail Run

Bertha Park Trail Run stages a 10 km trail route around Bertha Loch and Almondbank with marked and marshalled course features. The terrain includes technical sections, muddy stretches and runs through woodland with gentle hills and scenic winter views. Parts of some routes include tarmac sections.

Routes vary by date. The August event uses a reverse route that passes Almondbank first and then circles Bertha Loch; the August running takes place alongside Big Bertha, a 12 hour lapped event on the same day. The February 2027 route runs around Bertha Loch, reaches Almondbank and returns along the river. Organisers note that ticks may still be present in February and recommend wearing long running trousers and checking afterwards.

Start and finish are on the green next to the visitor car park near Springfield Homes. Registration is at The Hub on Adamson Avenue opposite Bertha Park High School. Race services include chip timing, a medic team, a water station on course, live online results, toilets and refreshments at the finish. Every finisher receives a handcrafted medal by The Workshop Aberfeldy and a brownie voucher redeemable at Starfish Cafe and Bakery. The event is organised by Wee Run Events, sponsored by Starfish Cakes and Bakes, and Springfield Homes provides the finish location. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
