Bertha Park Trail Run

Bertha Park Trail Run

Bertha Park Trail Run is a 10km trail race around Bertha Park Loch and Almondbank. The route includes technical sections, muddy stretches, wooded paths and gentle hills, offering scenic wintery views on the colder run. The August 10km takes a reverse route that goes through Almondbank first then around the loch. The February 2027 route follows Bertha Loch up to Almondbank and returns along the river; parts of that route run on tarmac so shoes that cope with both mud and tarmac are advised.

Details include a marked and marshalled course, chip timing, live online results, a medic team, a water station on course, toilets and refreshments at the finish. Every finisher receives a handcrafted medal made by The Workshop Aberfeldy and a brownie voucher redeemable at Starfish Cafe and Bakery. The finish and start are on the green next to the visitor car park at Springfield Showhomes and registration is at The Hub on Adamson Avenue opposite Bertha Park High School. T shirts are not included in the entry price but may be available to purchase separately.

The event is sponsored by Starfish Cakes and Bakes and Springfield Homes provides the finish location. In 2026 there are runs in February and August, and a 12 hour lapped event called Big Bertha uses the same 10km loop. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
