Glamis Castle Festive Trail Runs

The Glamis Castle Festive Trail Runs take place within the private grounds of the historic Glamis Castle estate in Angus, Scotland. This event offers participants the opportunity to run through woodland and parkland landscapes surrounding the iconic castle. The courses are set on trails within the exclusive estate grounds.

The event features three distinct distances for participants:

  • 1 mile Festive Family run for ages 3 to 11.
  • 5 mile trail run for participants aged 11 and over.
  • 10 mile trail run consisting of two laps for participants aged 15 and over.

The 5 mile and 10 mile events are canicross-friendly, allowing one well-controlled dog per runner. Dogs must remain on a lead at all times. The Family mile event does not permit dogs.

All runs are professionally timed using live chip-timing. At the finish line, participants receive a bespoke event medal, merchandise, and festive snacks and drinks. Younger finishers in the family run receive a selection box. Parking is available on-site at the castle for all participants and spectators. Optional event T-shirts are available for purchase during the registration process. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
