Salomon Skyline Scotland returns to Nevis Range near Fort William from 18 to 20 September 2026, offering multiple mountain and trail races from 5 km to 100 miles with live tracking, big screens, an expo and local food traders.

A 47 km mountain trail across the Mamores linking five Munros with 3,100 m ascent, fully waymarked and marshalled. The event includes GPS tracking, a main aid station at 31 km, mandatory kit requirements and a 14 hour time limit.

Fyvie Castle hosts a multi terrain 5 km race plus 1600 m and 800 m trail runs on dates in 2026. Chip timing, medals and age specific rules are in place and refreshments will be available at the castle.

October 2026

A 50k mostly off-road ultramarathon on Bennachie with over 5000 ft of ascent, visiting multiple peaks and starting and finishing at the Bennachie Visitor Centre. Pre-entry only with 150 places and a 4 hour cut-off at about 19 miles.

A 28 mile, sea to summit ultramarathon on Ben Nevis with about 6000 ft of ascent, a mainly trail route from Loch Linnhe to the Nevis Range, fully waymarked and supported with safety teams and pit stops.

A point to point trail of about 10 km from Archiestown Village Square to Cardhu Distillery on 11 October 2026, with shuttle transport, water stations, first aid and prizes for overall and veteran categories.

November 2026

A multi terrain 10 km race on 1 November 2026 with a reversed route featuring road and trail sections, views over Loch Tulla and a finishing descent across the Bridge of Orchy. Entries are limited and the event uses chip timing.

A 50 km trail race on 7 November 2026 following the Dava Way from Grantown-on-Spey to Forres, mostly on the old Highland Railway line. Mixed woodland and moorland terrain, Dava Summit climbs, 300 entries and an 8 hour cutoff.

Knockfarrel Hill Race on 7 November 2026 is an 8 km hill race with 300 m of climb, with day-of-event registration at Strathpeffer Community Centre replacing the previous Shinty Pavilion location.

A roughly 33 mile point-to-point ultramarathon from Killin to Strathyre on 07 November 2026, following parts of cycle route No 7 and the Rob Roy Way, with checkpoints, a halfway drop bag and mandatory kit for November conditions.
