Saltire 24, 12 and 6 : event overview

Saltire 24, 12 and 6 is a lapped endurance running event at Knockburn Sports Loch, Strachan, Banchory, AB31 6LL, scheduled for Saturday 20th to Sunday 21st June 2026. The organiser is Rebel PT Ltd. Entry is open only to participants aged 18 or older. Entries open 3 July 2025 and close 31 May 2026. The event takes place on multi-terrain, waymarked trails within the Knockburn estate, beside Kerloch Hill and Fetteresso Forest. The lap distance is 4.2 miles.

Race format and facilities

  • 24 hour - solo or team (small 2-4, large 5-8)
  • 12 hour - solo or team
  • 6 hour - solo only

Teams must have only one member running at any time. Fixed and mobile safety marshals and medics will be located around the course. Limited serviced camping will be available. Peripheral support is based in the Sports Academy and there is access to the shower block next to the conference centre. Event toilets are gender neutral; shower block sides are labelled male / female and may be used by whichever side a participant feels comfortable with.
