Event Overview

The Saltire 24 is an ultra trail race held in Royal Deeside, Scotland, at Knockburn Loch in Aberdeenshire. It celebrates the summer solstice, with participants completing as many laps as possible on a multi-terrain trail beside Kerloch Hill and Fetteresso Forest.

Race Options

Participants can choose between time-based events: a 6-hour solo race, and 12-hour or 24-hour races. For the 12-hour and 24-hour races, options include running solo or in relay teams of 3 to 8 members.

Facilities

The event provides free on-site camping and access to facilities. These include hot showers, indoor toilets, and heated changing rooms. Electronic chip timing is used for all runners.

Prizes and Medals

Prizes are unique, eco-friendly, and locally made, with additional gear from sponsors. Participants can receive an eco-medal that can be turned into a jute ribbon medal.

Requirements
