Hidden Glen 10K - Run Mhor

Hidden Glen 10K is a timed running event hosted from Monachyle Mhor Hotel in Balquhidder. The main route follows the banks of Loch Doine and continues deep into Monachyle Glen. The first part of the course is tarmac for about 2 km; the remainder is trail and can be muddy with puddles, so trail shoes are recommended. The route is fully marked with large yellow signs and staffed with marshals and medical personnel. There are three water stops on course at approximately 3 km, 6 km and 8.5 km. Chip timing is used for 10K entries and timing chips are posted to participants about two weeks before the event; lost or forgotten numbers can be replaced on the day for a small fee. All 10K participants receive a medal and water at the finish. Medical provision is available across the route and event facilities include toilets, changing tents, car parking in nearby fields and food and drink from the hotel. Entry fees are listed as £28 for the 10K and £7 for the fun run. Age limits: 10K entrants must be 15 or older on the day; the 1K fun run is for ages 5 and up, with under 5s able to run with adult supervision. Dogs are not permitted to participate with runners.
