Hidden Glen 10K

Hidden Glen 10K takes place at Monachyle Mhor Hotel, Balquhidder, on Sun 25th Apr 2027. The event was voted Best 10K in Scotland and 3rd Best in the UK in 2020.

The 10K route starts at Monachyle Mhor, follows the banks of Loch Doine and runs into Monachyle Glen. The first 2 km are on tarmac; the remainder is trail and can be muddy and puddly. The route is fully marked with large yellow signs, and marshals and medical staff are positioned at key locations. There are three water stations at 3 km, 6 km and 8.5 km.

Entries and event services include electronic chip timing with integrated race numbers, medals for all participants, water at the finish, medical provision across the route, race hydration from Active Root, and parking in fields close to the start. The 10K entry fee is £28 and the fun run fee is £7. The 10K minimum age is 15 on race day; the 1K is for ages 5 and over, with under 5s allowed to run with adult supervision.

Prizes are awarded subject to minimum entry numbers: top three in each gender category and age group first places where eligibility is met; the 1K awards first boy and girl under 15. Dogs are not permitted. Facilities include toilets, changing tents, first aid, and event food and drink at Monachyle Mhor. Parking is in fields and is not suitable for low cars, motorhomes or caravans.
