Course, services and rules

The 10K starts at Monachyle Mhor and follows the banks of Loch Doine into Monachyle Glen. The first 2 km are on tarmac and the remainder is trail; some sections can be muddy or puddly, so trail shoes are recommended. The route is fully marked with large yellow signs and staffed by marshals and medical personnel. There are three water stops at 3, 6 and 8.5 km.

Electronic chip timing is used, with timing chips posted to participants about two weeks before the event; lost or forgotten numbers can be replaced on the day for a £2 fee. There is no cut-off time. All participants receive a medal. Prizes are planned for top finishers in four gender categories and for age groups, subject to minimum entry numbers. Dogs are not permitted. Facilities include toilets, changing tents, first aid, car parking in nearby fields, and food and drink at Monachyle Mhor. Deferral, transfer and refund rules apply with specific deadlines and a 10% admin fee for refunds. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
