May 2026

Multi-day trail ultramarathon in the Scottish Highlands on 2 and 3 May 2026, offering six distances from 12 km to 110 km. Aid stations are placed about every 10 km and under 23s may enter free.

A coastal road race on Tiree held 02 May 2026 offering a **10 km** and a **half marathon (13.1 miles)** on an East end course, with a post-race ceilidh, evening prizegiving and a current waiting list.

Annual hill race near Strathyre, Perthshire on Saturday before the May Day holiday. The **20 km** route gains over **5000 ft (1500 m)** and visits Ben Each and Stuc a' Chroin; a licensed bar and free ceilidh follow.

Glen Lyon Ultra is a scenic 31 mile off road test in remote Perthshire with about 3500 ft of ascent and wet river crossings around Loch Lyon. Rugged trails and lochside camping make this a memorable challenge for adventurous trail runners.

A Category A mountain race along the Trotternish Ridge from Flodigary to Storr Lochs, about 27 km with 2000 m of ascent. The unmarked course requires map and compass skills and entries are limited to 75.

The Glen Lyon Trail Race on 7 June 2026 is a scenic 15.5 mile off road loop around Loch Lyon with 1,500 ft of climb and several river crossings. Limited to 150 runners, expect a tough but rewarding challenge with camping at Glen Lyon Dam.

July 2026

A 170 mile point to point foot race from Milngavie to Inverness following the West Highland Way and Great Glen Way, with checkpoints, tracking, and vetting of entrants.

Take on the Great Glen Ultra from Corpach to Inverness, a scenic but tough 72 mile solo race with roughly 8,500 ft of climbing and a limited field of 150. UTMB points available for experienced endurance runners.

Tackle a rugged 42 mile Great Glen Ultra short course from Fort Augustus to Inverness with about 6,000 ft of climbing. Cross the line with a lap of the Inverness Sports Centre track for a memorable finish.

August 2026

Part of the Glenurquhart Highland Games, this 3.5-mile hill race offers a short, sharp challenge. With 700 feet of ascent, much of the course is visible from the games field for spectators.

A friendly, scenic half marathon on 29 August 2026 around Berneray and North Uist, with sea views for nearly the entire route. The rural, gently undulating course is on surfaced single track roads and is officially measured.
