Scottish 6 Days Perthshire 2027

Scottish 6 Days Perthshire 2027 marks the 50th anniversary of the Scottish 6 Day orienteering event and takes place in Highland Perthshire from Sunday 1 August until Friday 6 August 2027. The competition comprises five days of forest orienteering on Sunday 1 August, Monday 2 August, Tuesday 3 August, Thursday 5 August and Friday 6 August, with a rest day on Wednesday.

Perthshire woodland covers more than 200,000 acres and offers a varied mix of fast runnable plantations and more technical Highland terrain. The area includes conifer plantations, native woodland, open moorland and sections of rocky ground. Courses are likely to demand precise navigation and can be physically testing in places.

The event will include competitive age class courses, colour coded courses and string courses for younger participants and beginners. The event centre is based in Aberfeldy. There will be rest day activities of an orienteering nature and a planned social programme. The organisers note local attractions such as The Perth Museum, Blair Castle, Scone Palace and The Scottish Crannog Centre, and nearby outdoor options including the Highland Fling Bungee and Zip Park and mountain biking at Comrie Croft. Entries open on 1 December 2026. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
