The Forfar Multi-Terrain will take place in Forfar on Sunday 1 February 2026. You can run 21 kilometers.

Take on a full marathon entirely on forest tracks through Fetteresso Forest near Stonehaven. Expect remote terrain, mandatory mountain kit and strict cut offs in this challenging winter trail marathon.

Night hill running around Glenshee ski station on compact piste snow, with 6.5 km and 11.5 km circuit options. Participants must carry winter mountain kit and meet fitness and experience requirements.

March 2026

A hill running event at Great Glen House on 14 March 2026 hosting the North District Hill Running Championships. The senior course is 7 km with 400 m climb on marked tracks and participants must carry map and safety kit.

A hill running event in Birnam, Dunkeld on 28 March 2026 with a senior 6.6 km course (360 m climb) and junior races of about 1.5 km and 3 km. The race uses ProTay timing and is part of the Highland Boundary Series.

Deuchary Hill Canter on 29 March 2026 is an 18 km hill race at Polney Loch, Dunkeld, with 800 m of ascent. Entry fee is £15, minimum age 20, and competitors must carry safety kit; it is part of the Highland Boundary Series.

April 2026

A 15 mile, measured trail race on the Balmoral Estate with riverside sections, a climb toward Lochnagar and a downhill finish near Balmoral Castle. Entry includes a finisher's medal, electronic timing and free parking.

Ben Chonzie Hill Race on 18 April 2026 at Comrie Croft in Perthshire features a 22.9 km route with 1435 m of ascent via Ben Chonzie, Loch Turret and Carn Chois, with proceeds supporting junior hill running in Scotland.

A 42 mile point to point ultramarathon on the West Highland Way from Tyndrum to Fort William, covering about 6500 ft of ascent with four checkpoints and organised drop bag and baggage services.

A timed 10 km trail race from Monachyle Mhor Hotel that follows Loch Doine into Monachyle Glen, with three water stops, chip timing and a separate 1 km fun run. Prizes are available across four gender categories and multiple age bands.

May 2026

Multi-day trail ultramarathon in the Scottish Highlands on 2 and 3 May 2026, offering six distances from 12 km to 110 km. Aid stations are placed about every 10 km and under 23s may enter free.

Two ultramarathon options along the Moray coast on 9 May 2026: 50 miles from Findhorn to Cullen Viaduct and 50 km from Lossiemouth to Cullen Viaduct. Fully stocked aid stations, drop bags, GPX files and a race handbook are provided.

A Category A mountain race along the Trotternish Ridge from Flodigary to Storr Lochs, about 27 km with 2000 m of ascent. The unmarked course requires map and compass skills and entries are limited to 75.
