Achmony Hill Race

The Achmony Hill Race is a competitive running event held in Drumnadrochit as part of the afternoon program for the Glenurquhart Highland Games. The event takes place at the Games Field and offers participants a short but intense course through the local landscape.

The race follows a specific route with the following characteristics:

  • 3.5 miles distance
  • 700 feet of elevation gain

The course is designed so that a large portion of the race is visible from the main games field. This allows friends and family to observe the participants' progress throughout the run. Runners finish the event by returning to the arena to conclude their effort.

Registration is available for individuals aged 17 or older. Participants can register in advance through an online system or choose to enter on the day of the event until the mid-afternoon deadline. The race is organized by the Glenurquhart Highland Games and is held alongside other traditional highland gathering activities. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
