Achmony Hill Race

The Achmony Hill Race is a short, sharp hill run held as part of the afternoon program of the Glenurquhart Highland Games in Drumnadrochit. The event takes place on the Games Field and is organised by Glenurquhart Highland Games.

The course is approximately 3.5 miles in length with about 700 feet of ascent. Much of the route is visible from the games field, allowing friends and family to watch participants during the race. Runners return to the arena after the course and are received with a traditional highland welcome.

A 170 miles foot race from Glasgow to Inverness along the West Highland Way and the Great Glen Way with about 24,000 ft of ascent. Entry is restricted to runners with prior ultra experience and the route uses tracked, marshalled checkpoints..

Experience a solo 42 mile race along the Great Glen Way from Fort Augustus to Inverness. This unsupported event features views of Loch Ness and 6000 feet of elevation. Runners finish with a final lap of the athletics track.

A 5.6 km hill race at The Eilan, Newtonmore with 370 m of climb, varied terrain and an initial obstacle scramble before a climb to the summit of An Torr and a technical descent back to the games field finish.

Tackle a scenic 12 or 24 hour loop around Loch Morlich in Glenmore Forest, testing endurance on a supportive, compact course. Limited entries and a runners welfare hub at The Hayfield make for a friendly, focused event.
