Glen Tanar Trail Running Festival

The Glen Tanar Trail Running Festival takes place on the Glen Tanar Estate in Aboyne, within the Cairngorms National Park in Royal Deeside. The event is scheduled for 25 and 26 July 2026 and is organised by the same team behind the Illuminator Night Run.

Races follow estate tracks and natural trails that run beside heather moorland, through Caledonian pine forest and alongside the River Tanar. The weekend includes a set of main trail distances and family events aimed at a range of participants.
