PIM Running Festival - Crathes Castle 2026

The PIM Running Festival takes place on 12 September 2026 at Crathes Castle, Banchory, organised by the National Trust for Scotland. The event offers three race distances and is set on the Crathes Castle estate and surrounding country roads.

The Half Marathon starts and finishes on the lawn in front of Crathes Castle and follows a loop that goes onto quiet country roads to the north and east of the estate, passing toward the Drum Castle estate before returning. Most of this route is on quiet back roads with a couple of level, off road farm track sections.

The shorter distances share the same start and finish area and remain within the scenic grounds of Crathes Castle. Prizes are awarded for each event, with specific age category awards for the half marathon for over 50s, over 60s, and over 70s. All competitors receive a medal and an event T shirt at the finish.
