PIM Running Festival - Crathes Castle, 12 September 2026

The event takes place at Crathes Castle Estate in Banchory and is organised by the National Trust for Scotland. It offers three distances on largely rural and estate terrain with route features described below.

The Half Marathon starts and finishes on the lawn in front of Crathes Castle and runs out onto quiet country roads to the north and east of the estate. The route leads toward the Drum Castle estate before looping back and includes mostly quiet back roads plus a couple of level off‑road farm track sections. The shorter events remain within the scenic grounds of Crathes Castle.

Prizes are awarded for each event, with specific age categories for the Half Marathon including over 50s, over 60s, and over 70s. All competitors receive a medal and an event T shirt at the finish.
