The MTC SELKIE is a new ultra running event for 2027, scheduled for 5 June 2027 and forming Day 8 of the nine-day MTC SCOTIA end-to-end series. Logistics and rules

Entry is limited to 20 open places plus an additional allowance of 20 for SCOTIA competitors, giving a maximum of 40 starters. The race is cup-free; competitors must bring a reusable cup. Cut-off times are enforced using a minimum average speed of 4.0 mph; falling below this minimum can lead to withdrawal. Competitors must be aged 18 or over and carry mandatory kit including a backpack, head torch with spare batteries, provided route maps, compass or GPS device, whistle, mobile phone, emergency food, and a basic first-aid kit.
