Trail Running calendar near Wheaton Aston 2026-2027

A six hour, self paced lap event at Coombe Abbey Park on a 3.3 mile loop of stone paths, meadow and tree cover. Runners choose how many laps to complete; rucking is allowed and an eco friendly tree token is available instead of a medal.

A Trifecta Weekend of obstacle races at Belvoir Castle in Grantham, Lincolnshire from July 10 to 12, 2026. The programme includes Sprint 5 km, Super 10 km, Beast 21 km, a kids race and Hurricane Heat sessions.

Gyrn Gallop is a 10.6 km fell race from Rhiwlas Village near Llansilin with about 350 m of ascent on a partially marked course requiring some experience. Entry on the day is £7 and the minimum age is over 15.

On 11 July 2026 an event in the Black Mountains offers distances from half marathon to 50 mile. Routes are self navigated with GPX files and supported by checkpoints, tracking, food provisions and medical cover.

Trail races from Slaithwaite follow the Huddersfield canal out to Tunnel End, with four distance options, on course feed stations and marshals. Parking is limited and registration is at Slaithwaite Community Centre.

A circular running and walking event on 11 July 2026 starting in Hallow, offering 10, 14, 19, 27.5 and 40 mile routes through 12 parishes with waymarked off road paths, checkpoints with snacks and a hot meal at the finish.

Take on the Charlesworth & Chisworth Carnival Fell Race on Sat 11 Jul 2026 in the Peak District, a testing 5 km / 3.1 mile course with 180 m of climb. Pre entry and entry on the day plus junior races make this a great community running day.

A timed lap event on a flat 5.3 km riverside course in Chorlton Water Park, offering distances from 5 km to ultra over a seven hour limit. Finishers receive a bespoke medal and the organisers donate £1 per entry to a chosen charity.

A countryside trail run at Stonyhurst College on July 11 2026. The **11.1k** route passes rivers, historic bridges and woodland; entry fee is £30 and parking is on college grounds.

A short 1.6 km hill race with 95 m of climb on Sugar Lane in Rainow on 11 July 2026, held as part of the Rainow Village Fete. Open to runners aged 8 and over with entry on the day.

Charity trek at Tittesworth Reservoir offering 10, 20 and 30 mile routes with team and guided options. Funds support a WaterAid project in Bangladesh.

A muddy 5k obstacle course through Abington Park in Northampton on 11 July 2026, organised by Cancer Research UK. Waves run every 15 minutes, participants must be aged 13 or older, and on site facilities include toilets and refreshments.

A Pretty Muddy 5k at Cofton Park featuring a grass obstacle course with climbs, crawls and slides, staggered waves every 15 minutes and a minimum age of 13. The event supports fundraising for Cancer Research UK and has a minimum fundraising..

A 5.8 km fell race to the summit of Pen y Fan near Brecon with 588 m of ascent, part of the South Wales Series and the 2026 UKA Fell Running Championship; entries are limited and minimum age is over 16.

A circular self navigation event from Parwich in the Derbyshire Dales, covering about 17 miles with 2,000 ft elevation. Participants collect two cards on route, use three aid stations and must carry mandatory kit.

A 9.7 km fell race in Peak Forest with 247 m of ascent. The route is marked and marshalled, day registration is at Peak Forest Reading Room and free parking is provided.

A point-to-point trail run from Bury to Rawtenstall alongside the East Lancashire Railway and the River Irwell. Runners try to keep pace with a steam train while supporters can ride the train; finishers receive a medal and T-shirt.
