Northampton Pretty Muddy 5k at Abington Park

The Northampton Pretty Muddy 5k is an obstacle course event organised by Cancer Research UK on Saturday 11 July 2026 at Abington Park, Northampton. The start and finish are located at the top of the park field alongside the event parking.

The route runs through Abington Park and uses a mix of pathways and grass. Waves start every 15 minutes to manage numbers on the course. Marshals are positioned at obstacles to assist; participants may skip obstacles if needed. To take part participants must be aged 13 or older. Pretty Muddy Kids events are available separately for children aged 12 and under.

Practical arrangements include event parking on grass within Abington Park, drop off access and Blue Badge parking near the event site. There are various bus routes to the park, the closest mainline station is Northampton about 4 miles away, and bike racks are available in the park.

On site facilities listed for the event include refreshments, toilets and parking. Dogs are not allowed. Bag drop and showers are not available, and the event is not suitable for pushchairs or wheelchair users due to the nature of the course. Sunflower wristbands and a BSL stage content QR code are available to support accessibility.
