Northampton Pretty Muddy 5k

The event is a Pretty Muddy 5k obstacle course in Abington Park, Northampton, on Saturday 11 July 2026. Participants navigate a sequence of obstacles that involve climbing, crawling and sliding along a route that uses a mix of park pathways and grass. The start and finish are located at the top of the field beside the event parking area.

Entry fees shown are Adults £22.49 and Children £12.00, with a minimum fundraising target of £50.00. Wave starts are staggered every 15 minutes to manage numbers on the course. Participants must be 13 years of age or older; there are separate Pretty Muddy Kids events for children aged 12 and under.

Available facilities include refreshments, toilets and event parking. The event car park is on grass and offers blue badge parking; drop offs and volunteer parking are directed from the same area. The nearest electric charging points are at The County Cricket Ground next to Abington Park. Public transport options include numerous bus routes to the park and Northampton train station approximately four miles away. Various bike racks are available in the park.

A two day trail running festival at Deene Park Estate near Corby offering three challenges across multiple distances, including a combined 56.1 km Quest. Entries include finisher medals and the weekend features on-site entertainment.

A multi-distance running event at Naseby Village Hall with trail and road courses including a 35 mile ultra. The route alternates direction by year, features five checkpoints and requires mandatory kit and GPS tracking.

Race 2 of the Northants 5 km Series is at West Lodge Farm in Desborough on multi terrain routes through fields and nature trails. Finishers receive a bespoke medal; parking is free and on site refreshments are available.

A timed lapped event at Mowsbury Park on 16 May 2026 offering distances from 5 km to ultra with a seven hour time limit, flexible start window and both medal and no medal entry options; places capped at 75.
