This event is the second in a 2026 Summer Series of three timed events. A new medal for the series will be revealed in due course and finishing the event awards a bespoke finishers' medal or memento to all participants.

The event uses a 5.3 km out and back lap along the River Mersey in Chorlton Water Park at Hardy Farm. Participants may complete as many laps as they wish within a seven hour time limit; the minimum distance is one lap (3.28 miles). Places are strictly limited.

The terrain is off road trail following a riverside towpath. The overall course has very little elevation change. A well stocked vegetarian aid station will be available throughout the day with many vegan and gluten free options; severe or life threatening allergies may require participants to bring their own food. Organisers request notification at least seven days in advance for specific allergy needs.

Toilets and changing rooms are available at race HQ. Parking is available for 75 cars at Hardy Farm on a first come, first served basis and additional parking for up to 100 cars is available at Sale Water Park, about a 15 minute walk. Distance restrictions apply to participants aged 20 or under under UK Athletics rules. Entry fees are £35 affiliated and £37 unaffiliated.
