Event Information

The Phoenix Blaze running event takes place on Saturday, 11 July 2026. It is the second event in the new 2026 Summer Series. The event is a timed run along the River Mersey in Chorlton Water Park. Participants can run for up to 7 hours, starting from 8am, with all runners finishing by 3:30pm.

The Course

The course is an out-and-back loop of 5.3km (3.28 miles) along a riverside towpath. The terrain is off-road trail, and the route is described as flat with very little elevation gain or loss. The minimum distance is one lap (3.28 miles), and participants can choose to complete more laps within the time limit, from 5km up to ultra marathon distances.

On-Site Facilities

There is a well-stocked vegetarian aid station with vegan and gluten-free options available all day. Toilets and changing rooms are available at the race headquarters at Hardy Farm (M21 8FE). Parking is available for approximately 75 cars at Hardy Farm on a first-come, first-served basis. Additional parking is available at Sale Water Park, a 15-minute walk away.

Registration and Charity
