Round The Runway 5

Round The Runway 5 is a scheduled five mile race taking place on 30 June 2026 and organised by Wilmslow RC. The course follows footpaths and quiet lanes around Manchester Airport runway 2 and passes under the runway via the Bollin River Tunnel. The route is multi terrain and route maps and GPX files are provided for participants.

The event location is Wood Lane, Mobberley WA16 7NY. Parking near the start is limited and a nearby parking area is indicated; car sharing or use of the train to Mobberley is recommended. Race numbers are collected on the night at the start off Wood Lane; there is no option to collect numbers from RNW.

Entry is for ages 18 to 89 and the stated entry cost is £14 with a £2 discount for UK Athletics members. Entries close on 29 June 2026 and online entry is used; the event currently operates a waiting list and payment is required only if a place is offered and accepted. Transfers are permitted online up to 24 hours before the event for a fee of £3. If the event is full a cancellation up to seven days before the race carries an 80% refund. The event is EA certified with licence pending and all race proceeds are donated to charity with this year’s beneficiary listed as MNDA.
