The Montane Summer Spine is a nonstop 268 mile race along the Pennine Way from Edale in Derbyshire to Kirk Yetholm in the Scottish Borders. Runners have a time limit of 156 hours to complete the route. The course totals 10,732 metres of ascent and 10,941 metres of descent and is run in June when daylight can be around 19 hours.

The event is unsupported, but runners can use cafes and pubs along the route. Planned pacing, private support vehicles and organised on route support are not permitted. Five main checkpoints at Hebden Hey, Hardraw, Middleton-in-Teesdale, Alston and Bellingham provide hot meals, hot and cold drinks, sleeping areas, toilets and showers at some locations, professional medical crew, weather updates and race information. Logistics support moves runners’ resupply bags between checkpoints.

Entry details include an entry fee of £995. To secure a place entrants may pay in full or pay a deposit of £398 with the remaining £597 due 100 days before the race. Payments are accepted by debit or credit card and handled via Stripe. Places available for the Spine are listed as 150. Applicants must be aged 21 or over and meet the published experience requirements such as completion of an ultra over 80 miles or equivalent mountain endurance experience. A long BL fell race around Wadsworth with navigational sections and mandatory FRA kit. The route is about 19.3 miles (31 km) with 1110 m ascent. Pre entry closes 6 February 2026 and very limited places may be available on the day.

The Drop 6 is a blindfolded, **6-mile** microadventure for people living 30+ miles from the venue; participants are dropped in an unknown location and must return to HQ without GPS or maps, solo or in teams of up to four.

A winter fell race from the Rams Head Inn across moorland and the Pennine Way, roughly 12 miles with 2100 feet of ascent. Checkpoints provide basic supplies and full FRA winter kit is required.

A chip timed 5k, 10k and half marathon around Heaton Park with mainly path running and one trail section. The event supports Shelter, offers medals and on-course marshals, and includes accessibility for buggies and most wheelchairs.
