Phoenix Ignite - Manchester

This event is the first race in a 2026 Summer Series held at Hardy Farm in Chorlton Water Park on Saturday 13 June 2026. It is a timed multi-lap event on an out and back course along the River Mersey.

The course uses a 5.3 km lap (3.28 miles) on a riverside towpath. The overall profile has very little elevation change, making the route flat. Participants may complete as many or as few laps as they wish within a seven hour time limit. All finishers receive a bespoke physical finisher medal or memento; this applies to attended and virtual entries.

An aid station is available throughout the day with vegetarian offerings and many vegan and gluten free options. Participants with severe or life threatening allergies are advised to bring their own food; specific requests should be made at least seven days in advance. Toilets and changing rooms are available at the race headquarters.

Parking at Hardy Farm is limited to 75 cars on a first come, first served basis. Additional parking for up to 100 cars is available across the river at Sale Water Park, about a 15 minute walk from the start. Organizers will donate £1 per participant to Carrington Animal Rescue.
