Severn Trent Mountain Challenge 2026 - Tittesworth Reservoir, Leek

The Severn Trent Mountain Challenge is a charity trekking event at Tittesworth Visitor Centre and reservoir in Meerbrook, Leek, ST13 8SW. A new Family Fun Day at the same location includes a trail around the reservoir. The Mountain Challenge route starts and finishes at Tittesworth Visitor Centre, with sections offering views of the water and surrounding countryside, notable inclines, and a return descent toward Leek where refreshments and hot food are available at the visitor centre.

Participants must follow a formal kit list required for individuals and teams and should be able to read maps and wear appropriate hiking footwear. Teams undergo a kit check before setting off and have their start time recorded. Teams must consist of a minimum of four and a maximum of six people. Weather can be unpredictable and the event is described as a long day that requires teamwork.

There are three route options to choose from. Registration options include joining with an existing team or taking part as a guided group walk. Income raised supports a WaterAid project in Bangladesh that funds climate resilient water, sanitation and hygiene, supported by the Severn Trent WaterAid committee. Parking is available on site.
