Severn Trent Mountain Challenge 2026

The Severn Trent Mountain Challenge takes place at Tittesworth Reservoir near Meerbrook in Leek, Staffordshire. The event includes a new Family Fun Day with a trail around the reservoir and a separate Mountain Challenge trek that starts from Tittesworth Visitor Centre.

Three route distances are offered. Participants can join with their own team or as part of a guided group walk. Teams are required to have a minimum of four people and a maximum of six people. There is a formal kit list for individuals and teams that must be followed; teams undergo a kit check before setting off and have their official start time recorded.

The trek requires map reading and appropriate hiking footwear as teams self-navigate across countryside with views of the reservoir and surrounding areas. The route includes ascents and descents, and refreshments and hot food are available at Tittesworth Visitor Centre on return. Parking is available on site at the visitor centre.

Income raised from the event will support a project in Bangladesh that funds climate resilient water, sanitation and hygiene and is supported by the Severn Trent WaterAid committee. Event news, photos and results will be shared on the STMC Facebook page and fundraising is organised through JustGiving. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
