Warslow Fell Race
The Warslow Fell Race is managed by the Staffordshire Moorlands Athletics Club. This event features both senior and junior categories and takes place in the vicinity of Warslow, Buxton. The senior race covers a distance of 10 km (6.2 miles) and includes a total ascent of 675 m (2215 ft).
The course is characterized by technical terrain, including steep ascents and descents. Due to the nature of the route, it is designated for experienced fell runners. Participants are expected to complete the course in under 1 hour and 55 minutes, as cut-off times are enforced. The race is approved by the Fell Runners Association (FRA) and operates under FRA and UKA rules. Depending on weather conditions, mandatory FRA safety kit may be required for all entrants.
The route passes through sections of private land. Runners are requested to stay on designated footpaths and access land during any transit of the area outside of the race day. Prizes are awarded to the top three finishers in both the male and female senior categories.
