Warslow Fell Race

The event takes place on Saturday, 4 July 2026. The senior race starts at 1pm. It is an FRA-approved fell race with a course featuring steep and technical ascents and descents, suitable for experienced fell runners. The race introduces cut-off times, and runners must be able to finish within 1 hour and 55 minutes. FRA mandatory kit may be required, with notification provided in advance if needed.

The route is 10 km (6.2 miles) long with 675 m (2215 ft) of ascent. It crosses private land, and participants are asked not to recce sections that are not on public footpaths or access land.

Registration is limited to 150 entrants for the senior race. Pre-entry is advised, with on-the-day entries available only if the limit is not reached. The pre-entry fee is £12, while entry on the day costs £15 and closes at 12:30pm. Online entries will close at 11:59pm on Thursday, 2 July 2026. A race briefing is held before the start.

Prizes are awarded to the overall first, second, and third place finishers in both male and female categories. The venue is Warslow Village Hall on Cheadle Road (B5053) in Warslow, Buxton. Parking is on village roads; participants are asked to be considerate of residents and to car share where possible. Public transport may be available via the Moorlands Connect Bus Service. Experience a 50 km trail loop through the scenic Peak District starting from Hayfield. This self-navigating ultra marathon follows the Pennine Way and Limestone Way, offering 1840 metres of ascent for all experience levels.

A 34 km loop through the scenic White Peak area visiting historic villages and Chatsworth Park. This volunteer run event features 825 meters of ascent and concludes with stunning views along the gritstone edges.

The Chicken Run features two fell running routes in the Peak District. Held at Hayfield Primary School, it includes homemade refreshments and raises funds for the school. The event has a permit from the Fell Runners Association for safety.
