Warslow Fell Race

Warslow Fell Race is a senior fell race held on 4 July 2026 in Warslow, Buxton, Derbyshire, in the Peak District. The course is 10 km (6.2 miles) with approximately 675 m (2,215 ft) of ascent and includes steep, technical ascents and descents. The route crosses private land; competitors are asked not to recce sections that are not on footpaths or access land.

The race is approved by the Fell Runners Association and will operate under FRA and UKA competition rules; FRA requirements for runners apply and compulsory kit may be required in certain conditions. Entries are limited to 150 seniors; advance entry is available and on-the-day entry is permitted only if places remain. The pre-entry fee is £12 and the entry-on-day fee is £15. A maximum finish time of 1 hour 55 minutes is imposed for senior competitors. Minimum age for entry is 17 years as of 31 December 2025. Parking is on village roads and public transport options may be available via local bus services. Prizes are planned for first, second and third overall in male and female categories. A night score event at The Railway Inn in Marple on Tuesday 27th January. Choose a 40, 60 or 75 minute course, use MapRun or a paper backup, and note late entries are not guaranteed a map.

Timed lap based event on a flat 5.3 km riverside out and back near Hardy Farm in Manchester, with flexible distances from 5 km to ultra and a seven hour time limit. Medal free entry option and a charity donation per finisher.

Take on the Dovedale Big Daddy on 1 February 2026, an AL fell race in the Peak District covering 20.4 km with 1370 m ascent and nine steep climbs through the Manifold and Dovedale valleys. Entries close 29 January and are limited to 250.

Take on the Mickleden Straddle on 1 Feb 2026, a rugged 14.3 mile fell race across high moorland with navigation required and winter conditions possible. Pre entry and FRA kit checks mean this is a demanding winter race for fell runners.
