Warslow Fell Race

Warslow Fell Race takes place on Saturday 4 July 2026 and is organised by Staffordshire Moorlands Athletics Club. The event is based at Warslow Village Hall on Cheadle Road, Warslow, Buxton, Derbyshire SK17 0JJ. Parking is on village roads and public transport may be available via the Moorlands Connect Bus Service.

The event includes senior and junior races. The senior race is a 10 km course with 675 m ascent. Entrant numbers for the senior race are limited to 150. Online entries will close on Thursday 2 July 2026. Pre entry for seniors is £12 plus a small administration fee and entry on the day is £15.

The route contains steep and technical ascents and descents and is intended for experienced fell runners. Cut off times will be applied and the organisers may require FRA mandatory kit in advance of the race, typically when weather conditions warrant it. Entrants who expect to take longer than 1 h 55 min to finish are asked not to enter.

The race operates under Fell Runners Association and UK Athletics rules and carries FRA licence number 2026 9716. Prizes are awarded to the first three overall male and female finishers. The route crosses private land so sections that are not on footpaths or access land must not be practised beforehand. A race briefing will be held before the start.
