NoMad Ultra

NoMad Ultra on 20 June 2026 offers multiple off-road running options around Derbyshire with a shared event centre in Breaston. The event follows much of the Derby NoMad waymarked trail and uses a mix of canal towpath, trails, fields and some road, with a total climb of about 605 m on the 50 mile route.

Distances

  • 50 mile (multi terrain circular route, 605 m climb)
  • 50 km (about 32 miles with a middle section through Derby city)
  • Team Relay Challenge (six person teams, legs from 5.25 to 11 miles)

Competitors must be at least 20 years old and have an intermediate level of navigation skill; the route is partially waymarked in tricky areas and written instructions, maps and a GPX file are provided. The course includes five checkpoints with food and a drop bag facility for 50 mile entrants, and three checkpoints on the 50 km route. Organisers use GPS timing devices for results and live tracking during the event. Entry across all events is limited to 160 teams and participants. Cut off times apply and will be enforced as stated in the event information. All finishers receive a medal and a technical T shirt. Trophies are awarded for overall and category placings in the ultras and for the relay overall winner. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
