NoMad Ultra
NoMad Ultra takes place on Saturday 20 June 2026 around Derbyshire with a race village in Breaston. The event offers multiple distance options on mainly waymarked trails that follow the Derby Nomad route through rolling countryside, canal towpaths, fields and some road, with a total climb of about 605 m on the 50 mile route.
Distances include:
- 50 mile Ultra
- 50 km Ultra (about 32 miles)
- Team relay for six person teams
The event is licensed under the Trail Running Association and held under UKA rules. Entry is limited to 160 teams and participants and only entrants aged 20 or older are accepted. All competitors should have intermediate navigation skills. Route written instructions, maps and a downloadable GPX file are available on the event webpage. Competitors should be self sufficient with food, drink and appropriate kit and follow the organiser's recommended equipment list.
Support and timing details: GPS tracking is used for results. There is support at checkpoints along the course; the 50 km route has three checkpoints and other courses have up to five checkpoints. Time limits are applied to the ultra distances. Prizes and finish items: all finishers receive a medal and a technical T shirt or vest, and trophies are awarded to top finishers and the overall relay team.
